SoulCollage®: Images to Feed the Soul INACTIVE

Schedule: March 28, 2009
Saturday
10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Audience: This class is open to the general public.
Prerequisites: This class is open to the general public.
Cost: General $55

Description:
Come explore the innate connection between creativity and intuitive guidance! This workshop introduces the magical process of SoulCollage, created by Seena B. Frost, as described in her exquisite book by the same title. Learn the basics of how to create your own deck of 8x5" collaged cards that reflect your personal symbols, your internal "committee" of sub-personalities, your dreams, your community. Each card is a small work of art, with imagery uniquely meaningful to you. Cards can be used for meditation, reflection and guidance on your current "burning questions." No prior collage or art-making experience is necessary. Together we will search intuitively for visual images that call to us and create cards using an easy cut-and-paste process.

Course Notes:

This seminar will be held at the Bastyr campus, room 184.

Please bring: scissors (large and small, if you own both), a sack lunch or afternoon snack if desired. The Bastyr cafeteria will be open for lunch.

Instructor: Alia Calendar, MA, is a certified SoulCollage Facilitator trained by originator Seena B. Frost, MFA, MDiv. She is a certified life coach and founder of LifeMuse Creations. For 12 years she has co-led workshops including creative process, wilderness and spirit, the Enneagram and the Dances of Universal Peace. Alia takes great joy in assisting those she works with to access their innate creativity and spirituality and learn to trust these sources of wisdom in themselves. Her background in counseling, coaching, and a myriad of art forms gives her fertile ground from which to share with clients and workshop participants.
